The New International Version of the above verse brings forth the full meaning:
"Yet the LORD longs to be gracious to you; therefore he will
rise up to show you compassion. For the LORD is a God of justice. Blessed are
all who wait for him!"
Indeed, our Daddy God longs to show us His favor!
It's hard for some people to believe that God is not only good, but He wants to go out of His way to bless us.
Yet God is that good, for God is Love (1 John 4:8), and has show us His incredible love through His Son Jesus!
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten
Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting
life." (John 3:16)
and also
"9In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because
that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through
him. 10Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent
his Son to be the propitiation for our sins." (1 John 4:9-10)
God loves us so much, and in sending His Son, He sent grace and truth personified (John 1:17).
He so dearly wants us to be blessed, and for us to receive good things from Him:
"The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD'S: but the earth
hath he given to the children of men." (Psalm 115:16)
and
"I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of
Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it." (Psalm 81:10
How about this, too?
"Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my
righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified,
which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant." (Psalm 35:27)
God's prayer has always been for us to prosper and be in health (3 John 2).
Let us not be afraid to seek Him in our time of need and ask for His grace in every aspect of our lives (Hebrews 4:16)
Please pray that God will provide us with all the resources required to build our planned international christian school(Camp David Green Academy) in Kenya.
