All God's Promises are Yes and Amen

"For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us." (2 Corinthians 1:20)

Many people think God's promises in the Old Testament are only for Israel.

That is not true.

We see that through Jesus, all the promises are Yes!

We are beneficiaries of these promises because we have been adopted into the family!

"15For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 16The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: 17And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together." (Romans 8:15-17)

We are heirs because we are in Christ Jesus, and just as promises were made to Abraham and his seed--Jesus--so those promises pertain to us, too!

"7Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. 8And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. 9So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham." (Galatians 3:7-9)

Let's rest in the truth that God's Promises to Israel in the Old Covenant are not only fulfilled but expanded to all of us who believe in Jesus! Let no one deter you from believing and receiving all that God is achieving for you!
