The Bible is About Belief and Life

"But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name." (John 20: 31)

The Bible is not a manual on how to life.

The Bible is about life, a Person named Jesus!

"Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me." (John 5: 39)

And then

"It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life." (John 6: 63)

Then

"The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." (John 10: 10)

and finally

"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." (John 14: 6)

Let us not forget that Jesus is the Word:

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

and then

"And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth." (John 1: 14)

The Bible is the Word, and the Word speaks of Christ Jesus, who is our Life (Colossians 3: 4)

We read the Bible to see more of Jesus, and because we believe on Him. we have life.
