Jesus indeed saved us from our sins.
Did you know that He is still saving us?
Many believers in the Body of Christ do not recognize Jesus as their ongoing Savior.
Yet He did not die on the Cross, then expect us to live on our own.
He has granted us His standing before God our Father:
"But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, 5Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) 6And hath raised usup together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: " (Ephesians 2: 4-6)
and
"If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. 2Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. 3For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. 4When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory." (Colossians 3:1-4)
and thus
"Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world." (1 John 4: 17)
We live because of Him, for whoever has the Son has life (1 John 5: 12-13).
Do not think for one second that your life is up to you, or that you have to save yourself once you are saved from your sins.
Jesus our Savior is still in the saving business, and He is rescuing us evermore.
