How to Please God? Believe Him!

"By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. 6But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him" (Hebrews 11: 5-6)

When reading verse five, the first reaction that follows: "How do I please God? What must I do to please God the same way that Enoch pleased God?

The next verse answers the question: "Without faith, it is impossible to please God."

What entails this  faith in God?

That He exists, and that He rewards those who seek Him, who want Him.

This search is not some physical spelunking or trekking.

It all comes down to recognizing that He has come to you, and learning more about Him, growing in grace and knowledge of the Lord:

"But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen." (2 Peter 3: 18)

and

"For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, 16That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; 17That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, 18May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; 19And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God." (Ephesians 3: 14-19)

There is so much to search, to know about Jesus and His love for us.

And all of that is about believing in Him and how good He is to us.
