His Words Lasts Forever

"Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away." (Matthew 24: 35)

The Word of our Lord Jesus will stand forever, and never go away.

Let us find grace, rest, and peace in these wonderful words:

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." (John 1: 1)

Jesus is the Word made flesh:

"And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth." (John 1: 14)

Jesus the Word made flesh, is full of grace and truth:

"For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ." (John 1: 17)

We have His promise, that His Word does not pass away.

Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14: 6), and He only has everlasting life:

"Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen." (1 Timothy 6: 16)

Now, what else should we know about His Word, which lasts forever?

"All ye, assemble yourselves, and hear; which among them hath declared these things? The LORD hath loved him: he will do his pleasure on Babylon, and his arm shall be on the Chaldeans." (Isaiah 48:14)

When the Lord promised to wipe out the enemy occupiers of Israel, He came through.

What about today?

"It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life." (John 6: 63)

His Words are alive today.

"So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." (Isaiah 55: 11)

What has He promised:

"31What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? 32He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?" (Romans 8: 31-32)

and

"But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4: 19)

and of course:

"Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee." (Hebrews 13: 5)

Let us find full comfort, then in God's Word, for it lasts forever, blessings us:

"And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel." (Hebrews 12: 24)

and

"LAMED. For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven." (Psalm 119: 89)
