He Brings Restoration with Revival

"Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.

2After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.

3Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth." (Hosea 6: 1-3)

In a previous reading, we learned that God revives us, brings us revival. This life does not come from men, but from Jesus, who is Life (John 14: 6):

"In him was life; and the life was the light of men." (John 1: 4)

With His Life, we receive more than revival, being taken from death to life (1 John 3: 14).

We receive restoration!

"He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake." (Psalm 23: 3)

Jeremiah, the weeping prophet, foretold restoration for Israel - and for all of us who believe in Jesus:

"For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after." (Jeremiah 30: 17)

To the Israelites, Joel prophesied:

"Yea, the LORD will answer and say unto his people, Behold, I will send you corn, and wine, and oil, and ye shall be satisfied therewith: and I will no more make you a reproach among the heathen:" (Joel 2: 19)

and then

"And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you." (Joel 2: 25)

and finally

"For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem," (Joel 3: 1)

Paul declared as much, and more, in the Work that Jesus finished at the Cross:

"He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?" (Romans 8: 32)

and also

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:" (Ephesians 1: 3)

As you grow in knowledge of Jesus, full of grace and truth, receive not just more of His reviving life, but allow His restoration to bring to you all things.
