Take the Cup of Salvation

"I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the LORD." (Psalm 116: 13)

Jesus is our Salvation

That is His Name:

"And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins." (Matthew 1: 21)

Notice also what Jesus said to His disciples on the night He was delivered up to die for us:

"For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins" (Matthew 26: 28)

Our cup of salvation comes from Jesus, and He invites us to take more of Him.

Too many of us in the Body of Christ still see Jesus as someone whom we have to work for.

The truth is, He is someone who works in and through us:

"For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure." (Philippians 2: 13)

and

"To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: 28Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus: 29Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily." (Colossians 1: 27-29)

He works in us, and through the gift of Himself, we work, we live, and we thrive.

Stop trying to give something to God.

The greatest thing that you can do to thank God for all that He has done?

Take more from Him!
